Interview Summary

Rocco Pepe is from Paterson, New Jersey. He joined the Marines in 1976 at eighteen and later joined the Air National Guard in 1990. In this interview Pepe describes his time at boot camp in Parris Island, South Carolina. He discusses the Cold War and his involvement in the war. Pepe talks about some of the campaigns that he was a part of. He describes his work on the Arizona-Mexico border. Pepe also discusses getting his degree at Eastern Kentucky University and wanting to better communities by utilizing his military experience.
