Interview Summary

George Shuffler talks about his introduction to music and his early work with bands like the Bailey Brothers, Melody Mountain Brothers, and comedy duo Mustard and Gravy. He talks about how he came to work for the Stanley Brothers and recounts many stories of his years playing with them. He talks about leaving the Stanley Brothers and forming a gospel band with his daughters, The Shuffler Family. Throughout the interview, he touches on the traditional Bluegrass sound, the future of Bluegrass, and tells humorous anecdotes about his time on the road with various bands and musicians.
