Interview Summary
Irma Gall discusses her involvement with the Lend-A-Hand Centers, community centers located around Stinking Creek, Kentucky which were established during the War on Poverty. In this interview Gall talks about the community centers and programs for the rural poor. She talks about conflicts surrounding the community centers from local people, gangs, and the local political power structure. She discusses the impact of the War on Poverty.Interview Accession
