Interview Summary

Nanine Watson was a student at the University of Kentucky during its early days of desegregation. In this interview, she discusses her childhood and education in Georgetown, Kentucky. She talks about her decision to attend the University of Kentucky and her experiences as an African American woman during the school's integration period. She talks about her experiences with racism, social life and athletics on campus, and her feelings on her overall experience at UK. She talks about her career as a teacher after graduating from the university.
