Interview with Alma Kajtazovic, January 11, 2019
Project: Savor: Immigrant Entrepreneur Oral History Project
Interview Summary
Alma and her sister Selma own Sorella Gelateria on Limestone. She told me about coming to the US as a refugee from Bosnia as a high school student in the nineties, working at Fazolis and graduatingfrom UK before starting this business with her sister. Their parents own an alteration business in Lexington that has been operative for years, so they get their entrepreneurial spirit from them. Selma loves being creative with new flavors of Gelato and has trained in Italy. Their cooler is from there-- and they make their small batches fresh daily.Interview Accession
