Interview Summary
John Buckley enlisted into the Army after graduating from high school to become an Army Ranger. In this interview he talks about his decision to join the Rangers and growing up with a military father. Buckley describes how 9/11 impacted his life and the missions that immediately followed. He explains the difficulties that go into being a Ranger and the rigorous training evolutions he had to participate in. Buckley also talks about the multiple wounds that he received and how they impacted his career in the Army. In addition, he discusses how hard it was for him to transition to civilian life and school. Buckley describes his passion for helping veterans, and how crucial a veteran program on campus is.Interview Accession
