Interview Summary

George Kell, from Arkansas, was a third baseman in the American League, and later became a baseball broadcaster. In this interview, he discusses topics such as his childhood in Arkansas, Connie Mack, spring training, the World Series of 1946, the Mexican League, Hank Greenberg, Kell's player endorsements, his teammates on the 1950 Detroit Tigers team, his hitting for the cycle in 1950, his hitting strategy, changes in baseball since the 1940s, and the demise of the Minor Leagues.
