Interview Summary
Lue Vicie Gibson describes her work in the kitchen of Pikeville Methodist Hospital prior to the strike. She describes the conditions there for both the workers and the patients that led to the strike. She describes her time on the picket line and talks about people crossing the picket line, both to work as well as to eat at the hospital cafeteria. She talks about other strike activities, including boycotting other local businesses and traveling to gather support for the strike. She describes her household during the strike, including the division of chores and her family members' opinions on unions.Interview Accession
