Interview Summary
Fred C. Matt discusses his experiences volunteering with the Christian Appalachian Project (CAP). He speaks about his life before CAP, which consisted of his time in the Navy, his career at IBM, and his career as a teacher. He talks about his tumultuous early adulthood and how he turned his life around and regards volunteering for CAP as a way he can give back since he has lived a fortunate life. He speaks of what he has learned from CAP and how he has contributed to its mission.Interview Accession
