Interview Summary

Mr. Bibbs reminisces about his childhood in Lexington, family and employment histories, and his educational background. He recalls the bus strike of 1938, the impact of segregation, and the University of Kentucky during World War II. Mr. Bibbs remembers the African American entertainers who performed in Lexington, the night clubs of the African American community, and Deweese Street.
