Interview Summary
Wilkinson discusses her soon to be released novel, "The Birds of Opulence," on which she's been working for over ten years. Wilkinson also describes the role of place in her work, and the preservation of rural spaces and homeplaces. Additionally, Wilkinson describes her role in both the feminist movement and the writers group called the Affrilachian Poets. Next, the interviewee talks of her teaching experience with students of rural backgrounds. Lastly, Wilkinson details her bookstore, including the role it plays in the community and the origins of the bookstore's name.Interview Accession
