Interview SummaryL.L. "Jay" Schwall first came to the University of Kentucky in 1950, left the university to join the Navy in 1951, and returned to UK in 1956. He talks about how the university changed during his absence and his first impressions of the campus. He talks about majoring in civil engineering and discusses his classes and favorite professors. He talks about joining the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity, and discusses other social events, activities, and local hangouts. He talks about politics, both national and on campus.
