Interview Summary

Retired United States Senator Wendell H. Ford discusses his thirty-four year career as an elected official during this interview with his former aide, Mike Ruehling. Ford talks about changes in the way Congress conducts business and recalls bipartisan cooperation when he was a senator. He talks about his career as both governor and senator, and his political philosophy and relationships. He talks about his campaign style that emphasizes personal contact with voters.
