Interview Summary
Deaton describes Riverwoods, an environmental education center sponsored by PRIDE in Kentucky. She discusses the variety of programs that the center will offer, as well as why the area needs an environmental education center. She discusses the lengthy research and development process that has gone into creating Riverwoods and what is left to be done on the project. Deaton discusses the support Riverwoods has received by way of donations of land and money. She describes the impact Riverwoods has the potential of having on the area and surrounding states, as well as how they are modeling the center after another in Seattle, Washington. She also describes how PRIDE is impacting environmental education in Kentucky.Interview Accession
