Interview Summary

Josephine Richardson discusses her family background, how she met her husband, and why she moved from New Haven, Connecticut to New York City. After marrying Bill Richardson, Josephine moved to Kentucky. She describes her early impressions and the work it took to establish Appalshop. She discusses her own efforts to promote the arts through her business and public service.
