Interview Summary

Frederick Johnson represented Danny Gardella in the landmark court case Gardella v. Chandler. In this interview, he discusses topics such as his early interest in baseball, the Mexican League and Commissioner Chandler's blacklisting of American players who were a part of it, the reserve clause, various aspects of the Gardella case, the player pension plan, and the problems with the uniform contract.
