Interview Summary

Andrea Wilson, the former director of whiskey strategies for Diageo North America. In this interview she talks about her family's connection to distilling and her lifelong ambition to join the distilling industry. She talks about how she achieved her goals despite challenges along the way. She talks about working at the Stitzel-Weller Distillery and discusses what it is like to be a woman working in the male-dominated bourbon industry. She talks about the influence of female consumers on the bourbon market.

She talks about the bourbon industry as a community and why Kentucky is a natural place to make bourbon. She talks about the future of the bourbon industry and what she would like her legacy to be. She discusses the Orphan Barrel Whiskey Project.
