Interview Summary
Richard Bradshaw (Central African Republic, 1977-1979; Health Program) discusses how his background as the son of missionary parents in Japan and various encounters with Peace Corps volunteers influenced his decision to join the Peace Corps instead of going to medical school. He also covers his time serving in the Central African Republic as a coordinator of rural health projects in a very small problematic program, his success in inspiring a national project to deal with iodine deficiency, and the situation in Central African Republic culturally and politically. Richard also talks about his life after the Peace Corps and his opportunity to be an associate Peace Corps director in Central African Republic following his return.Interview Accession
