Interview Summary

Known for community based management of common property, Acheson was an early anthropologist in the National Marine Fisheries Service. He is now on the faculty of the University of Maine. In this interview he discusses his academic career, his brief but influential year with NMFS, and his hopes for the future of applied and maritime anthropology.
