Interview Summary
David C. Morrison discusses the summer he volunteered for the Christian Appalachian Project. During his time there, he mainly built houses for people whose homes had burnt down due to electrical fires and he also worked on various odd jobs such as stocking a boat with supplies. He speaks about how his perception of Kentucky changed over time and how his experience growing up in Washington, D.C., and his parents' experience growing up in Louisiana has influenced him. He concludes by discussing the importance of volunteer work on a local scale.Interview Accession
