Project Summary
Thomas Dionysius Clark (July 14, 1903 – June 28, 2005) was an American historian, University of Kentucky Professor (1931-2001), and became Historian Laureate of the Commonwealth of Kentucky in 1991. He saved a large portion of Kentucky's printed history from destruction, which later became the core of the Kentucky Department for Libraries and Archives, as well as helping to start the University of Kentucky Libraries newspaper microfilm program. The author of 37 books, Clark is best known for his 1937 work "A History of Kentucky. "Project Code
