Adolph Rupp discusses many basketball coaches that have inspired him in some way, including coaches he has played under, played against, worked with, and pitted teams against. He mentions coaches George Keogan, Ward L. "Piggy" Lambert, Joe Lapchick, George Edwards, Bill Chandler, Henry Clifford "Doc" Carlson, Howard Cann, Walter Meanwell, and Frank Keaney.
