Interview Summary
Clayton and his family moved to Etowah around 1904, when it was still yet a very new community. He tells various stories about what life was like during his younger years in Etowah. These stories included the typhoid fever outbreak in 1915, the Great Depression, and World War II. Clayton primarily worked for the railroad company as a machinist.
