Interview Summary

In this interview, Dr. Parker, a retired Western Kentucky University (WKU) political scientist discusses the changes at WKU and state and local politics during his ten years in Kentucky. He provides insights on how the Civil War shaped partisan loyalties and offers a perspective on Warren County's place in regional alignments. Dr. Parker also discusses factors involved in shifting the region's politics from Democratic to Republican.
