Interview Summary
Terry Regan served in the Peace Corps as an education volunteer in Antigua from 1968-1970, after hearing about it while a history student at Stanford. After a week in Philadelphia, his training group flew to Port of Spain, Trinidad for two months of training at the University of the West Indies. His first site was in Freetown, Antigua, but he later moved to the capital city of St. John’s. Throughout his service he worked on the Antigua Math Project, but he also taught swimming through the St. John’s YMCA and had the opportunity to travel throughout the Caribbean and South America during his service. He has worked as a travel agent in Berkeley, California for over forty years and has visited Antigua three times since the end of his service.Interview Accession
