Interview Summary
Ben Gish discusses his upbringing in Eastern Kentucky, his eventual employment in the coal industry, and his education at the University of Kentucky. He also describes his eventual employment at the Mountain Eagle, but recalls that he worked for the newspaper since the age of five. Finally, Ben elaborates on the role of Appalshop in the Letcher County community, and his talks about his show on the WMMT radio station (which at the time of this interview was nearly thirty years old).Interview Accession
