Interview Summary
J. McCauley (Mac) Brown is the vice president of the Brown-Forman Corporation and the son of Robinson S. Brown Jr. In this interview he discusses the history of the Brown-Forman Corporation. He talks about mistakes the company has made over the years and the company's continued commitment to producing quality products. He discusses his family history, his family's values, and their effect on the company. He talks about philanthropy and diversity at Brown-Forman.Brown talks about the resurgence of the bourbon industry. He talks about friendships within the bourbon industry and why employees tend to stay and attract other family members to the industry.
He talks about bourbon's place in the international market and marketing strategies for various cultures and markets.
