Interview Summary
Collins begins the interview by explaining his role in the establishment of WRFL in the late 1980s. Subsequently, the location of WRFL's studio in Lexington is described, as well as the programming that WRFL has had throughout the years. Next, the interviewee talks about the broadcasting industry today, and the most glaring errors that have occurred on the air at WRFL. Collins talks about the people he remembers the most from his time spent at WRFL. Collins then illustrates some of the challenges that came with creating WRFL, followed by a discussion of how radio technology has changed in recent years. Collins concludes the interview with an overview of his best memories of WRFL, and a description of a book about the history of radio in Kentucky (which mentions WRFL).Interview Accession
