Interview Summary
George Miller (Washington and Tonga, 1979-1982; Administrative) describes his earlier life as a Navy comptroller and then his years as Director of Overseas Administrative Support during the transition from Peace Corps' inclusion in ACTION back to an independent agency. He also mentions his service as acting Peace Corps Director in Tonga for five months. George's interview includes stories about interactions with volunteers as well as a post-retirement negotiation story with Iraqis in 1990. He also describes the evacuation of his Peace Corps volunteer son from Congo Brazzaville.Interview Accession
