Interview Summary
Wilson Wyatt, born in 1905, discusses his childhood and family, explaining that his father was the vice president and general manager of a railroad company, and his mother a teacher. He describes visits to his mother's family in Hart County, Kentucky, and briefly discusses his father's family. He discusses his early interest in the study of law, as well as his academic success at Louisville Male High School, where he studied under a number of memorable teachers. Finally, he discusses his secondary education in law at a night school from 1925 to 1927, during which time he supported himself at Freight Tariff Bureau publishing tariffs, and as a statistician and utility clerk at the Louisville and Nashville Railroad Company, after which he was employed by the Garnett and Van Winkle Law Firm.Interview Accession
