Interview Summary
Sidney Farr was the associate editor of the Council of the Southern Mountains publication, 'Mountain Life & Work', beginning in the 1960s. In this interview she discusses her educational background and how she came to study at Berea College. She talks about working for the Council of the Southern Mountains and discusses their split from the Appalachian Volunteers. She talks about her opinion of the outside volunteers as someone from the Appalachian region and whether the War on Poverty had any lasting impact in the area.
