Interview Summary
John Sherman Cooper talks about his experience working as a United States Senator during 1966. He describes his position on the Vietnam War and talks about measures passed during that time that he either approved or disapproved of. He also talks about projects he approved of providing electricity to rural areas in Kentucky. He comments on his stances on the Truth in Packaging Bill, the Dirksen Amendment, and bills regulating striking and small coal mines. Last, he describes his 1966 reelection campaign against John Y.
