Interview Summary

In this interview, State Representative Hal Rogers briefly discusses his life from high school, to going to Cincinnati and unsuccessfully searching for a job, going to college and returning home to Pulaski County to uplift the community and start his political career. Rogers describes economic change in Eastern Kentucky, bringing in businesses, cleaning up the area (Pride Campaign), fighting against illegal drug use (UNITE), and changing the mindset of the people so that they can believe in doing well for themselves.
