Interview Summary
Chris Morris, Master Distiller at both Woodford Reserve and Brown-Forman, talks about how he became involved in the bourbon industry after high school, his first job duties, and his responsibilities as a master distiller. He talks about the bourbon-making process and what he thinks makes a good bourbon. He talks about the importance of educating both bourbon consumers and retailers in order for the bourbon industry to successfully compete with other spirits in the spirit industry. He talks about the Woodford Reserve Distillery, its history, expansion, and future plans. He talks about the Kentucky Bourbon Trail and the Kentucky Distillers Association expanding to include craft distilleries to expand the Kentucky Bourbon Trail. He talks about the philanthropic efforts of the Brown-Forman Corporation and about fame in the bourbon industry.Interview Accession
