Interview Summary
Roscoe L. Murray was a Major General in the U.S. Army before serving as Adjutant General under Governor Earle Clements. He was later appointed by Senator Clements to be the Director of the Office of Price Stabilization. In this interview, he discusses his appointments to these positions by Earle Clements. He talks about the conversations he had with Clements regarding political issues during his time in office. He discusses in particular the 1950 Teachers' March on Frankfort, Clements' views on integration, and the issue of Harry Lee Waterfield's lack of military service which arose during the campaign.Interview Accession
