Interview Summary

In this short interview with William Brooks, Brooks talks about his childhood in Greensboro (N.C.). He discusses his father's death, which led the family to move in with his maternal grandparents. He then talks about how his family got water and disposed of trash. Next, Brooks and the interviewer talk about the Eastern Kentucky Personal Responsibility in a Desirable Environment (PRIDE) program, of which Brooks was not aware. He gives his suggestions for a cleaner and safer environment, before talking about the various ways he and his wife recycle materials.
