Interview Summary

Carl Pagter discusses his early life in California and his college education, eventually becoming a corporate attorney with a degree from University of California, Berkeley. He discusses his role in the formation of the California Bluegrass Association (CBA). He talks about his music career and his band Country Ham's original version, the Sprout Run String Band. He tells many anecdotes about his music career. He talks about his role with the International Bluegrass Music Museum and the International Bluegrass Music Association.
