Interview Summary
Chaffin loved school, which she started attending at age four. After Chaffin graduated eighth grade at age twelve, she had no way to go to high school. With the help of the Superintendent of Schools, Chaffin attended John's Creek High School, and then married. She began teaching in Pikeville and earned her bachelor's degree. She discusses her beginnings as a writer during her childhood, and her later education regarding the publishing side of writing. She explains her writing schedule, other authors who have influenced her, and the various genres she has written in. Chaffin reads some of her works.Interview Accession
