Interview Summary

Hornbeck, a key architect of the Kentucky Education Reform Act, discusses his own education, his career, and the significance and influence of Kentucky's education reform in a national context. Hornbeck is the former Maryland State Superintendent of Schools, as well as the controversial former superintendent of the Philadelphia Public School System. He also discusses his work with the Business Roundtable's efforts at school reform, and his recent work with community schools in Baltimore.
