Interview Summary

John Preissing served as a Peace Corps Volunteer focusing on improving agriculture practices with the community of El Rosal, in the province of Tungurahua in Ecuador in the 1980s. Preissing discusses serving with his wife, Peggy, and how the investment in their projects and the deep connection to the community led them to extend their service for a third year. Their most significant work during his service led to the construction of a potable water system for El Rosal. He discusses how they both returned thirty years later to their community of service to see the continued evolution and sustainability of clean water in El Rosal.
