Interview with Ezer Georbasten Cangé, June 25, 2010
Project: Haiti Memory Oral History Project
Interview Summary
Ezer Cangé introduces himself as a student. He talks about his reaction when the earthquake happened, which he says was prophesized by one of his professors. He tells the difference between living in a house made of concrete and a tent. He applauds the international community for donating to Haiti but he believes that it does not make them friends of Haiti. He specifically points to the Dominican Republic as not-a-sincere friend of Haiti despite them showing solidarity for Haiti during the earthquake. For him, the solution to the situation in Haiti is to get the youth involved in the development of their country. He is ready to contribute.Interview Accession
