Interview Summary

This interview with Frank Coyle focuses primarily on his time in the 157th Infantry Batallion from March 1965 to February 1971. His Batallion was never activated, so the majority of the interview discusses his time in training. Coyle starts with his early years, then transitions into his time spent with the Army Reserves. He outlines what basic training looked like, his daily routine, and the lack of privacy in the barracks. During training, Frank broke his leg; so he shares about his time in Fort Knox Army Hospital. He finishes by describing his perception of the war as well as his major takeaways from his time in the reserves.
