Interview Summary
Mary Schulten Vaughan, born in Louisville, KY, joined the Army Nurse Corp after graduating from nursing school with a R.N. degree at the age of 21. Vaughan was a 2nd Lieutenant at Fort Knox in Kentucky where she worked in the Fort Knox Army Hospital. After marrying her husband, Vaughan received an honorable discharge on April 14, 1942.Interview Accession
