Interview Summary

In this interview Albert P. Smith, Jr. discusses his family and eduational background and his early career in journalism in New Orleans before coming to Logan County in 1956. Smith describes Logan County politics, Kentucky factions, and ties this to Kentucky politics. He also talks about gubernatorial campaigns from the Chandler-Rhea Democratic primary through the Carroll administration. In addition he discusses the end of Kentucky political factions.
