Project: Kentucky Garden Stories Oral History Project

Interview Summary

The interviewees discuss their upbringing, describing how their backgrounds led them to their interest in gardening. Burnes is from Ohio; Walker is from Wales. Both see gardening as a form of resistance to corporate control. For them, gardening is not only about growing food but also about building community. They both serve as educators in community gardening projects.
