Interview Summary
Elizabeth Thomas of Paris, Kentucky describes her family history, and talks about her parents' occupations. She talks about the educational background of her family members, her own college education at Kentucky State University (then called Kentucky Normal Industrial Institute), and her experiences teaching in segregated schools. Thomas talks about Black history and achievements made by African Americans. She talks about the houses she and her husband owned, and describes some of the Black businesses in Paris, Kentucky.Interview Accession
