Interview Summary
Dr. Robert Straus (Chair of the Department of Behavioral Science 1959-1987) discusses the role of behavior science in medical education, the construction of the medical center and the other key individuals recruited to build the University of Kentucky Medical Center and Medical School. He also criticizes the bureaucratization of universities and particularly the current system of faculty evaluation. He also speaks about how supportive the governors of Kentucky were toward the UKMC.Interview Accession
