Interview Summary
Edward McCoy, a farmer living on Cane Creek, begins the interview by talking of both his nuclear family and extended family. Then, McCoy gives a summary of his life and farming ventures up until the time of the interview. Next, cattle farming and natural disasters are considered. Additionally, farming and its relation to the marketplace is explored. The interviewee then discusses the county extension agency, farming knowledge, and the practice of leasing on Cane Creek. McCoy and his sawmill are detailed. Other topics of conversation include the saw-milling process and the dangers of this practice.
