Project Summary
This project consists of interviews with Edward M. Coffman, a distinguished military historian. Coffman describes his childhood, including his early interest in history and growing up during the Great Depression. He talks about his time at the University of Kentucky in the 1950s, particularly his involvement n the ROTC program. After graduation, his service in the 7th Cavalry took him to Korea and Japan. Coffman also discusses his marriage to Ann Rouse and his career as a historian, including his research and experiences as a teacher.Project Code
