Interview Summary
Webb talks about getting hired at WBTH radio station in Williamson, West Virginia and his first time on the radio being Santa Claus and reading letters from children on the air. He talks about getting involved in Appalshop and WMMT and the shift from being a volunteer to becoming station manager. Webb talks about how politics factored into radio programming. He talks about the Duck Soup radio show and about starting the Whole Grain Elevator radio show. Webb talks about the Obama administration and the war on coal, and the relationship between WMMT and coal miners. He reflects on his legacy at WMMT.Interview Accession
